New Forest Agricultural Show Society Supports National Tree Week

  National Tree week which started on 28th November 2015 is an annual event, first launched in 1975. It is the UK’s largest tree celebration which marks the start of the winter tree planting season. In support of national tree week, five new Oak trees will be planted in different locations at New Park, Brockenhurst, home to the New Forest and Hampshire County Show. Record Visitor Numbers at 2015 New Forest and Hampshire County Show

Organisers of the New Forest and Hampshire County Show have announced that the 2015 Show which took placeon 28th, 29th & 30th July attracted a record number of visitors, with 105,000 people attending in total across the Show’s three day duration, 1,000 more than the previous Show record. Show Organisers have attributed the record crowds to the popularity of this year’s main ring attraction, the Household Cavalry who performed their world famous Musical Ride each day, combined with perfect Show.

Flower Show Review 2015

This outstanding success of this year’s Flower Show highlighted once again the excellent standard of local nurseries and specialist growers in the New Forest and surrounding area. 17 of the 28 exhibitors came from within a 60 mile radius of the showground. Our two judges, Geraldine King and John Wheatley, were extremely pleased with the standard of the displays presented, particularly as they had never judged many of our local exhibitors before.
