This being it’s 99th year, the New Forest & Hampshire Agricultural Show Society welcomes a new Chairman, Martin Stewart, to its historic and prestigious ranks, a tenure that he will hold for five years. Martin says, “It is an absolute honour to be asked to follow Chris Whitlock in the chair". He did a fantastic job steering the Society through changing times. The role has many responsibilities but together with the Board, Chief Executive Denis Dooley, the full time office.

For three days, the Rathbones East Ring at the New Forest Show is a spectacle to behold!From the Heavy Horse Musical Drive, to the frantic pony club races, the Grand Parade of livestock, the Old Time Farming Parade - and many other exhibitions of excellence, there is something for everyone to see and enjoy. And how, you may ask, do these events in the Rathbones East Ring run so smoothly with such military precision timing, and how do the stewards.

If you’re looking for a fantastic day out in July, the New Forest Show can guarantee a fun- packed day for all of the family. One of the aspects of the Show that the organisers give top priority to, is entertaining children of all ages. A very familiar face is Crazy M, a children’s entertainer who has appeared at the show for the past 18 years with her team of entertainers and dancers and the brilliant Rufus the horse, all.

There are many wonderful aspects and traditions of the New Forest Show and this year is no exception. From the immaculately dressed stewards in their bowler hats, to the exceptional standards of all competitors ( including the four legged friends) , the beautifully turned out judges, the gleaming silver trophies - there are many elements of this unique Show that stand the test of time. One of the familiar sounds of the Show is a Welsh melodious voice guiding us.
