Staying with Camping New Forest

Open your eyes to birds singing, a gentle breeze rustling through the trees and dappled sunlight dancing through their branches. Are you in heaven? Not quite – this is just what it feels like to wake up in a Camping New Forest campsite.

Camping New Forest has a total of 10 stunning campsites to choose from over the 3 days of the New Forest Show, with each one catering for a different type of individual and no more than a 30-minute drive from the Showground. There’s ‘back to basics’ bring your own everything kind of sites like Aldridge Hill, there are sites with play parks a plenty – perfect for the little ones to enjoy, like Holmsley, remote campsites surrounded by serene forests, like Setthorns, and sites that are just a short walk into local villages brimming with character, like Hollands Wood!

If you do fancy pitching your tent over the Show dates (28, 29, 30) one of Camping New Forest’s best placed sites is Hollands Wood, which is just a 3-minute drive from the Showground. Nestled into the woodland just up the road from Brockenhurst, it boasts winding paths, stunning views and free-roaming ponies – a quintessential New Forest campsite. This family friendly site has plenty of onsite facilities, including a small shop, showers, toilets and glamping tents – making this the perfect stopover for those heading to this year’s iconic Show.

Roundhill Campsite is also fantastically placed for those wanting to visit the Show. A beautifully scenic 10-minute drive through forests and free roaming ponies leads you to the fun and excitement of a day at the Show. Buried in woodland and green fields, Roundhill has everything you need for the perfect stay – just some of the facilities include a shop, toilets, a dish washing station and showers.

Both these sites are dog friendly, so if you’re planning on coming to the Show with your best four-legged pal – they are fantastic options for great places to stay. 

Stay at Classic Cottages during the Show

If a bit of cosy luxury is right up your street, and you fancy bedding down somewhere classically comfortable during your New Forest Show adventure, Classic Cottages may be the stay for you. 

Exuding homely charm, these 2 self-catering holiday cottages are both based in or near the harbour town of Lymington, with Ridge House just a short walk to the beach, and Yachtsmans Cottage with views overlooking the river.
