Getting here

How are you getting here?

Pick how you’re travelling and we’ll show you just what you need.

By car

There’s a free car park right next to the Showground, open from 6.30am and plenty of space for everyone. Roads get busy on Show days, so arrive early — and car-share where you can.

By bus

The Showground is served by scheduled local buses in addition to the Show-day shuttle.

  • The Bluestar 6 runs hourly from Southampton city centre via Millbrook, Redbridge and Totton, terminating at Lymington.
  • Plan your route with the My Journey Hampshire planner (it doesn’t include the Show-day shuttle).

Walking & cycling

Arriving under your own steam? We’ve got you covered at the main public entrance.

  • Cycling: there’s a cycle rack near the public entrance, and helmets/equipment can be stored at the “Shop & Drop” just inside the main gate — bring a bike lock cable.
  • Walking: we’re roughly a 30–45 minute walk from Brockenhurst centre. Choose routes away from the main roads — there’s no pedestrian path on the road to the Show.
During the Show, Forestry England tracks are also used by event vehicles — please don’t cycle on them. See New Forest walking routes.

Travel greener

Could you leave the car at home?

Show days are busy on the local roads, and the New Forest is a special place we all want to protect. If you can, hop on the train and the shuttle, catch the bus, or cycle in — it’s kinder to the Forest and often an easier journey.
