Who Are Sargents Butchers?

Sargents Butchers is a family-run business owned by Jonty and his fiancée Kiera, who took over in 2021. Jonty’s story with Sargents actually starts earlier than that – he began his butchery apprenticeship there in 2018, so when the time came to take ownership, he already knew every corner of the craft.

Under Jonty and Kiera’s stewardship, Sargents has stayed true to what makes a great local butcher: quality produce, traditional technique, honest advice, and the kind of friendly service that keeps people coming back. They source as much as possible from local farms and suppliers across the New Forest and surrounding areas – keeping it local, keeping it fresh.

They’re also passionate advocates for New Forest venison – a sustainable, versatile, and frankly underrated ingredient that Sargents have worked hard to champion within the local community. Expect it to feature prominently in the demo!
