Essential Companion Tickets

The New Forest and Hampshire County Show takes pride in welcoming people of all abilities. Everyone deserves the chance to enjoy all that The Show has to offer, and we are here to support you in any way we can.

In Advance

An Essential Companion Ticket is available at the same time as tickets are purchased. 

  • Go to ‘Buy Tickets’ 
  • Please purchase a ticket for the disabled visitor
  • Add an essential companion ticket to your basket
  • At this time you will be asked to provide PIP information
  • Tickets can be downloaded once the PIP has been approved

On The Gate

For information on getting to the Show by bus please use the journey planner at My Journey Hampshire. Please remember this does not include the shuttle bus that runs from Brockenhurst to the Showground on the Show days.  The Showground is served by the Bluestar 6, hourly, from Southampton City Centre via Millbrook, Redbridge and Totton, terminating at Lymington.

  • Middle or Higher Rate DLA for care and/or mobility
  • Receipt of a current and valid Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Evidence of being severely sight impaired
  • Recognised assistance dog ID card
  • Current and valid evidence of receiving Attendance Allowance

Accessible Parking

As you enter the park, please ensure you have your Blue Badge parking permit visible on your windscreen so that parking wardens can direct you to the accessible car park.

WRISTBANDS

Wristbands are available at the Main Entrances. Simply write your contact details, medical conditions and/or allergies on the inside of the wristband. If separated, staff members can use the wristbands to bring you back together.

Scooter Hire & Getting Around

Mobility Scooters can be hired direct with the Wheels for Freedom company from the 1st of April and need to be reserved before the Show.

This is at a cost of £35.00 per day

Once booked, they will be available from 8.00am with flexible return on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Thursday.

The Showground is accessed from the Accessible Car Park along a grass walkway to the Pedestrian Entrance opposite.

The site is mainly grass, with hardcore internal pedestrian avenues.

Assistance Dogs

The Show is dog friendly and many of our visitors bring their canine companions along. This of course extends to Assistance dogs, who are very welcome on site.

Accessible Toilet Facilities

Each toilet block on the showground has a dedicated accessible toilet.

We also have a specialised Mobiloo facility on site for changing.

Quiet Place & Picnic Area

Off to the side of the Showground is the Woodland picnic site. The Show can be very lively, so this provides a quiet place to relax if you find yourself getting overwhelmed.
