Show Jumping

Watch top show jumpers compete against one another in this exciting main ring attraction each day. Top riders from around the country will descend upon New Park to compete against one another. Watch each horse and rider attempt to clear the course in the fastest time.

Heavy Horse Musical Drive

First performed and unique to the New Forest and Hampshire County Show, this Heavy Horse Musical Drive is a breathtaking display as the horses in harnesses move around the ring choreographed to music. With 16 pairs coming together, criss-crossing and circling it certainly is a fabulous sight.

The Grand Parade

The Grand Parade of prize winning cattle and sheep takes place in the Rathbones East Ring ring each day at 3.00 pm. It is a wonderful sight with the very best of the livestock assembled. The Supreme Champions and other significant winners will be presented with their trophies and prizes together with all the breed representatives parading. The vintage tractors join this marvellous display and visitors can really enjoy this traditional part of our agricultural heritage. With a commentary provided to add to the enjoyment, you will be sure to appreciate the exhibits and learn from the experience.

Inter Hunt Relay & Hound Parade

This ever popular attraction is run against the clock over fences and is being held each day in the West Ring. This is a fiercely fought contest so even if you know nothing about horses you will be impressed by the speed and skill of these riders and their horses. The louder you cheer the faster they go and higher they jump, so be sure to cheer them on! It’s a fast paced knock out relay that is NOT to be missed.

Tractor Tug of War

We invite young and old to come in to the ring, pick up the rope and take the strain, The more the crowd shout the harder it seems to be to move the tractors. As far from a normal tug of war competition as it is possible, so heave as hard as you can.

This is a tug of war competition like no other. We invite young and old to come in to the ring and test their strength against a vintage tractor. Pick up the rope and take the strain,  the more the crowd shout the harder it seems to be to move the tractors.
