Join us in celebrating country life at the 2018 New Forest and Hampshire County Show. With so much to see and do across the showground we have put together a list of the top must see attractions, activities and displays at the 2018 Show. The top attractions can be viewed below….

New! Atkinson Stunt Display

Atkinson Action Horses have spent the past twenty years training horses and riders for Film & TV.
With recent credits from Poldark, Victoria, Peaky Blinders and The Living Dead, visitors to the New
Forest Show will have the unique opportunity to watch their action packed performance each day.

Performances will be taking place twice each day in the Rathbones East Ring.

New! Sports Zone

Hampshire Cricket, England Netball, and Saints Foundation are
just some of the organisations bringing their interactive skills
workshops to the Show for the first time. Providing visitors
young and old with the opportunity to put their skills to the test
or try a sport for the first time. This friendly, vibrant new area of
the showground is certainly one not to be missed!

NEW! Local Business Village

We are delighted to be working with The New Forest Business Partnership to host the brand new Local Business Village at this year’s Show.

Lots of local businesses from across Hampshire will be showcasing their products and services to visitors.





Fun Kitchen Workshops

Back due to popular demand!!!

Fun Kitchen workshops provide families with the opportunity to learn new skills, explore tastes and cook up some tasty treats.

Six workshops will be taking place each day at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm.

Workshops are available for children aged 5 & over (children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult)

Local Produce Market

Bursting with delicious locally produced food, drink and
handmade crafts, the Local Produce Market is guaranteed to
stimulate your senses with its enticing sights, sounds and smells.
The popular cooking demonstration theatre is back with a busy
timetable of top local chefs filling the stage who will be sharing
their expert skills and knowledge by creating delicious dishes
using quality local produce found at the Show.

Heavy Horse Musical Drive

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to watch sixteen
pairs of heavy horses take part in the wonderful Heavy
Horse Musical Drive. The New Forest Show is the only place
you will see this many pairs take part – don’t miss out!

Wood Exhibition

The beautifully constructed New Forest Trust Pavilion is an attraction in itself, created from local timber especially
for the annual New Forest Show. Inside the pavilion visitors will find highly skilled local craftsmen showcasing
their eye-catching wooden creations.

Countryside Area

From ferret racing and fly fishing to gun dogs and game cooking
demonstrations, visitors will enjoy watching experts in action.
Animal lovers will revel in the opportunities to get hands on with
different animals, including meeting the hounds, stroking the
ferrets and saying hello to the British Transport Police Dogs.
New for 2018 is the gun dog scurry, a timed competition that will
see which dog can retrieve on object in the fastest time.


From clothing, crafts and cars to food, farming and photography visitors can shop ‘til they drop amongst more than 600 trade stands at this year’s Show. Featuring top global brands and thriving local businesses, you’re guaranteed to find a product or service to enjoy

Flower and Gardening Show

Featuring Flower Arranging Demonstrations, Vegetable
competitions, Floral Exhibits from a variety of local businesses
and societies, the Flower and Gardening Show is sure to
stimulate your senses. A trip to the Flower and Gardening Show
won’t be complete without a stop at The Garden Tearoom,
the perfect place to sit back and enjoy refreshments whilst
surrounded by beautiful floral and garden displays.
