Bake, Cake and Make - New Forest Show

We can’t think of a better way of learning a new skill, hobby or interest than by getting involved. The Get Invovled Zone provides visitors with lots of opportunities get participate in a wide range of activities, both by entering competitions before the Show or get hands-on whilst you’re here.

Take a look below at some of the activities on offer in the Get Involved Zone:

Bake and Cake

Cakes, pastries, preserves and brownies are just a selection of the delicious products you can view in the Bake and Cake Tent. Fun Kitchen will be running their free children’s cooking workshops for children inside the Bake and Cake Tent.

Fun Kitchen

Back by popular demand, the Fun Kitchen Cooking Workshops are fun, entertaining and educational. Join them for a 45 minute cooking class – where children will have the opportunity to collect their freshly baked goods at the end. Six sessions will be running each day providing the opportunity to pre-book or book on the day! Sessions will be running at the following times: 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm

Honey and Bees

Always a ‘hive’ of activity, the Honey and Bee tent features candle rolling activities, honey tasting and live beekeeping demonstrations.

WI

The WI frequently receive more than 1,000 entries, all of which will be on display for visitors to admire. An activity corner will be providing the opportunity for visitors to get hands-on and crafty at the Show.

Art Tent

The Open art museum welcomes entries from local artists from across Hampshire and the New Forest, all of the pictures will be on display for you to admire along with finalists from the New Forest Show Photography Competition. There will be opportunities for you watch potters and artists live in action

Church Tent

Friendly stewards in the church tent will welcome you with a smile and a complimentary cup of tea or coffee. With children’s activities available its the perfect place to sit down and socialise in a sanctuary away from the hive of activity on the showground.
