Family Fun Area

Enjoy all day entertainment for all the whole family in this wonderful area of the showground dedicated to children. Watch a fun packed programme of entertainment including: circus workshops, Sing Now Choir and Nasira Belly Dancers.

Meet Rufus our Show mascot. Rufus will be making frequent appearances in this area.

Children’s activities taking place in this area include: face painting, coloring walls and children’s craft activities.

The Family Fun Area can be found next to the Honey & Bee Tent along the Solent Avenue.

The Freedom Zone

Freedom Childcare provide facilities for parents to bring their children, whether it be to keep them generally amused or out of the sun throughout the Show.

The ‘Freedom Zone’ is a space full of toys and (some) messy play, most of all it’s comfortable, so even tots who can’t walk have soft play and flooring to enjoy.

We also hold a competition for anyone visiting the ‘Freedom Zone’, last year was a family photo shoot.

Discovery Zone

Kindly sponsored by ExonnMobil, the Discovery Zone is an area dedicated to children. There are plenty of opportunities for children to get involved with hands on, educational activities in this zone.

Fun Kitchen

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Fun Kitchen workshops provide families with the opportunity to learn new skills, explore tastes and cook up some tasty treats.

Six workshops will be taking place each day at the following time:

10.30am: 11.30am: 12.30pm: 1.30pm: 2.30pm: 3.30pm

Workshops are available for children aged 5 & over (children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult)

Canine Arena

The canine areana has an action packed line-up of entertaining displays and activities featuring our much loved four legged friends.

There will also be opportunities for visitors to enter the ring with their own canine companions in our fun dog competition which will run twice a day.

Activity Zone

The Activity zone provides families with the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at a selection of fun sporting activities. From golf and hockey to archery and badminton, everyone is encouraged to pick up a racket or ball and get moving.

Longdown Show Farm

Lots of opportunities to get up close to cute cuddly chicks, fluffy rabbits and meet Samuel the Miniature donkey from Longdown Activity Farm.

The Sheep Show

The New Zealand style team of presenters educate and entertain with their fantastic sheep all over the country. ‘Nobby’ the Norfolk Horn stands centre stage while others are introduced to their podiums. We learn about each breeds attributes and how wool from the sheep’s back becomes a jumper to wear. The shearing demonstration is well commentated and has the audience captivated.
