Appetite for Adventure: Garden Tearoom & Members Tearoom

Appetite for Adventure, award-winning locally based caterers in Milford on Sea are proud and passionate members of both the New Forest Marque and Hampshire Fare, specialising in outdoor catering.  We make a real difference with our completely fresh approach – we love implementing imaginative ideas across different style events.  We have built a solid reputation in providing superb food experiences across many different environments and indeed countries, working throughout the U.K. and Europe.  Furthermore, we employ a highly ethical approach to all the materials used within our catering presentations, having worked with palm leaf plates and birch wood cutlery for over four years we now also use fully compostable PLA disposable glasses.

Owners Jason Plevey and Adie Callaghan have over 20 years’ experience in hospitality and event management and regularly work for national and international clients as well as private individuals and local businesses.  In recent years we have looked after many high profile clients including Jo Brand, Jodie Kidd, Richard Branson and family and HRH Princess Beatrice.  Earlier this year we supported Greg James and Zoe Ball on their respective Sport Relief challenges and Adie has just returned from looking after Lawrence Dallaglio and 70 other cyclists pedalling across five countries for three weeks to raise money for Lawrence’s charity RugbyWorks.  It was an immense challenge and involved Adie and her team working in all weathers, providing freshly prepped and cooked dishes every day for the entire three weeks!

We are delighted to be returning to the Garden Tearoom at this year’s 2018 Show and will be once again tempting visitor tastebuds with a range of homemade goodies including savoury scones, a breakfast sausage roll, freshly made sandwiches and quiches, a variety of platters as well as the obligatory scones, local jam and clotted cream and locally made classic cakes.  Additionally you will also find our culinary goodies in the Member’s Enclosure this year, with breakfast options being served from 8.30am and an equally delicious tea menu being offered every day through until 6pm.

Jason is a fully trained chef with a passion for preparing rustic, hearty food using only the very best local ingredients that he and his team can source.  Jason, who started his career as a Commis Chef back in 1994, has worked in various countries and travelled extensively, working as a chef.  While travelling, he also followed his other passion and became a qualified mountain guide. He has vast experience working and running large kitchens as Head Chef.”
