About The New Forest Show

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show represents entertainment at its' very best, a vast array of sights and sounds to suit all tastes and ages. RETURNING FOR 2012 Bring the family to see our Show Farm, where children can interact with a variety of small animals and visit the Poultry Tent to enjoy the chickens, ducks, geese and rare breeds on display. The new Discovery Zone is perfect for children as they will experience scavenging, den building, wood adventures and even potato branding!
A once in a lifetime opportunity to name a brand new rose was one of the highlights of the 2011 Show. Organised by Pococks of Romsey, over 2,000 entries were received during the three show days and shorlisted entries included Summer Dew, Heaven Scent and Hearts Desire. Among the more amusing entries were Harper 7, Nosey Rosey and Willy the Pink. The winning entry was sent in by Mrs Ann Quick from Winchester, with the winning name of 'The Enchantress', who will receive several Enchantress rose trees for her garden. The Enchantress rose will be officially christened in the Flower Marquee at the 2012 New Forest & Hampshire County Show.
