HEAVY HORSES


HEAVY HORSE STABLING:

A booking fee of £27.50 will be charged per stable reserved, which will be refunded after the show to all exhibitors with horses forward. An Exhibitor may only book stabling for the number of horses entered; stables will NOT be allocated for the storage of harness, feed etc. in their own interests, exhibitors should store all equipment securely in their travelling vehicles.
Exhibitors with HORSES entered in IN-HAND and IN-HARNESS classes only, may only reserve stables at the reduced rate for the night of Wednesday, 26th July

REGULATIONS:

All Exhibitors entering, competing or exhibiting an animal in a class covered by a Breed Society, shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the relevant Breed Society and subject to its
constitution and rules.


QUALIFIERS, TROPHIES and SPECIAL ROSETTES:

SHIRE HORSE OF THE YEAR CHAMPIONSHIP. This is a qualifying round for the Shire Horse of the Year Championship to be held at the Scope Festival at the Staffordshire Showground, 2006. The Championship is subject to Shire Horse Society conditions. The qualifying and Reserve Qualifying horses will receive rosettes. Should the Qualifying horse withdraw, the reserve will be invited to attend the final. Prize money will be awarded by The Shire Horse Society after the final.

BROWNLOW SILVER TROPHY (perpetual) donated by Lieut Col J D C Brownlow for the winner of of the Teams Turnout class V11


THE SHIRE HORSE SOCIETY offers a silver plated spoon and rosette for the best filly or mare providing the owner is, a Member of the Shire Horse Society. No animal may win more than one Spoon during any one year. The winning animal must be registered or eligible for registration in the Stud Book or Grade B Register.


THE BRITISH PERCHERON HORSE SOCIETY offers a special award rosette to the best registered Percheron Horse.


THE CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY. A Shield (which will be engraved by the Clydesdale Horse Society) will be presented to the best yearling or two year old colt or filly, registered or eligible for registration with the Society, not having won a shield before in its lifetime. The exhibitor must be a current member of the Clydesdale Horse Society.


THE SUFFOLK HORSE SOCIETY offers a rosette to the best registered Suffolk Horse.


ENTRY FEES: £12 each; NFASS Members £8 (Foal class V9 only - NO ENTRY FEE)


PRIZE MONEY: 1st £35; 2nd £25; 3rd £20; 4th £15; 5th £10 and 6th £10
Foal class V9 only: 1st £15; 2nd £10 and 3rd £5


A travelling grant will be made to all exhibitors forward.
A Special prize of £20 will be awarded to the highest placed non-Shire in each class with the exception of V9 and the Championship. A special prize of £10 will be awarded to the carter of the winner of each class with the exception of H8 and the Championship

At least three weeks old on the day of the show. Exhibited with mare in class V7, but judged separately
