The Country Trust and New Forest Agricultural Show society are looking for their next Food Discovery School!
Would you like your pupils to experience growing? cooking? healthy eating?
Keen to help them understand where their food comes from? Who has grown it?
If you are, then you need to be part of ‘Food Discovery 2018’.
Food Discovery is a Country Trust Coordinator led programme based in school and designed to enable children to understand and explore where their food comes from. This heavily subsidised project provides opportunities for pupils to succeed in growing their own crops, as well as learning to cook meals such as vegetable lasagne. In addition, the children take part in playground markets and trips to a local farm or estate to see where their food comes from. The whole project enables cross curricular learning, parental involvement and a real sense of purpose and self-confidence for all involved!
