New Forest Area Conservation Volunteers - New Forest Show

New Forest Area Conservation Volunteers

The New Forest Area Conservation Volunteers (NFACV) will be attending the Show and can be found in the Heart of the Forest Area located along the northern avenue.

The NFACV was set up in 1983 by local people from a wide range of backgrounds who wanted to do something positive to help conserve their surrounding countryside and its wildlife.

The main aim of the group is to help enhance the natural environment in and around the New Forest by means of practical conservation work. This work is done through a varied programme of ‘tasks’ which are undertaken by members who provide the voluntary workforce.

The NFACV is run by its members on a voluntary basis. There is no subscription. Funds are derived fro nominal charges made for completed tasks from the user body. This money goes exclusively towards the running of the group, its tools and their maintenance.
